Hello! My name is Mrs. Wenzel (also known as Ms. Dellacona) and I am a school counselor here at Hicksville Middle School. For the 2024-2025 school year, I will be working with the 6th grade students whose last name ends M-Z. Sixth grade is an exciting time as we focus on enhancing skills that will help students prepare to transition throughout their middle and high school years. I work closely with all staff, administration, parents, and most importantly students. It is my goal for the building and community to feel supported and safe, while addressing all social/emotional, academic and career needs that arise during your three wonderful years spent here.
Middle school is an exciting time where students begin to develop their own self-identity. Here at HMS we work as a team to ensure success and happiness in all by instilling the proper tools and foundation. My role as your counselor is to advocate, mentor and assist you in evolving academically, socially and emotionally. Together we can overcome any obstacle, and meet your highest aspirations.
